Chinese Tips (中文通) is a Chinese vocabulary adventure for learners working through HSK 3.0, told as story worlds, one for each level. Each lesson is a scene, then takes its words from pronunciation to exam-ready through reading, matching, sentence and cloze stages, alongside dictation (听写), writing sentences from memory (默写) and read-aloud passages (口试).
Free
Everything in the app is free, for good: every lesson of every HSK level, every dictation chapter (听写), all handwriting practice, the mock exams, the write-from-memory chapters (默写) and the read-aloud passages (口试). No account and no payment details are needed for any of it.
The full version
- Full version (完整版) — US$9.99, paid once
The full version removes the ads and adds nothing else, on every device where you sign in. It does not expire and nothing renews. Bought on the web or in the Android app, it is refunded in full if you ask within 7 days, once per account. Bought in the iPhone app, refunds are Apple's: ask at reportaproblem.apple.com.
A subscription bought before 7 October 2026 carries on until you stop it: stop renewal on the app's 我的 (Me) page, or by emailing support@latticelogic.app; access continues to the end of the period already paid for.
On the web, payment is handled by Airwallex on a hosted checkout page. In the Android app, purchases go through Google Play. In the iPhone app, purchases go through the App Store with no account, and the full version holds on that iPhone. Prices are in US dollars; your bank or app store may apply currency conversion or local taxes.
Ads
In the Android and iPhone apps, a learner without the full version sees a full-screen ad after a round, at most three a day, none in a visit’s first ten minutes and none closer together than twenty minutes. The website’s free pages carry ads served by Google AdSense. Every ad request, in the app and on the website, is marked as directed to children, so Google serves no personalised ads. The full version shows none, on every device where you sign in. What each ad service receives is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Your progress
Progress is kept the same way with or without the full version. It stays in the browser or the app on your device until you sign in, with Google or with a link sent to your email address; after that it is kept under your account and merged on every device where you sign in. Playing needs no account. Buying on the web or in the Android app does, so that the full version follows the account rather than one device.
